About Janet
I've been teaching maths one-to-one for twelve years, working with secondary school students from Year 7 through to A-Level. My degree is a BSc in Maths. After a few years in schools, I moved into private tuition full time.
I keep things simple: one student, one hour, working through what they actually find hard. Lessons are calm, focused, and built around the student's current school work, confidence and goals.
What I teach
KS3
Years 7 to 9 maths support across number, algebra, geometry, ratio and statistics. The aim is to make the basics steady before GCSE starts to press.
GCSE
Foundation and Higher tier GCSE maths tuition for AQA, Edexcel and OCR. Content first, then exam technique where it is useful.
A-Level
Pure, mechanics and statistics for AQA, Edexcel and OCR. Early sessions usually find the gaps, then the work gets more direct.
Further Maths available on request.

Janet offers in-person maths tuition in Horley, Surrey, as well as online maths tuition for students across the UK.
